Paste Studios shot a fashion Lookbook style video for Sydney based label Vanishing Elephant. We took a very relaxed and fun approach to this one, working with Vanishing Elephant to create a brief that we were both happy with, by trying to focus more on the model’s facial expressions and behaviour rather than the garments themselves. It’s hard to create something different for a lookbook video, because there a time restrictions both for the duration of the video and for the shoot. But video shoots for Vanishing Elephant are always a blast. The team are very easy to work with, the product is great and the models are always good fun to work with too! It was definitely a successful piece to compliment Ben Sullivan‘s always amazing stills.
Having some fun with the new range for Autumn/Winter ’14, featuring Claes & Annabelle, with sneaky cameos by Ben Sullivan, Felix Chan and Huw Bennett. Collection hits stores from Mid-January 2014 – Be sure to check out the Vanishing Elephant store in Westfield Bondi Junction, or QV in Melbourne!
“Last year was a turning point for Vanishing Elephant, with the Australian brand vastly growing the scope of their collections for both men and women with an eye toward creating pieces that could both stand alone and chime together as an overall ensemble. Anchored by denim, their Spring/Summer 2014 Collection Lookbook is full of color, detail, and slim-fit silhouettes, with notable additions of selvedge denim, cotton outerwear, and rustic-inspired patterns as well as their own signature colorful prints at the forefront, especially on the women’s pieces. Expect to see more from Vanishing Elephant in the months to come…” – http://www.freshnessmag.com
