“Sydney artists and brothers Numskull & Roach have completed an epic collaborative work on other sides of the world in Sydney and New York with a Puma Trinomic flavour, exclusively for Hype DC.”
Sydney artist and graffiti writer Numskull has a friend of Paste Studios since working together in Higher Ground Studios, and we were stoked to be posed with the opportunity to shoot a video with both Numskull and his brother Roachi. The concept was to paint one piece, between two different walls, in two different cities, on two different sides of the world. Sydney and New York City. Roachi is currently residing in New York, and so they each painted one half of the wall – both complementing each other’s style with a character or a piece of each other’s on their own side of the wall. The video aimed to showcase a collaboration between Roachi, Numskull and Puma’s new shoe, the Trinomic.
The brief from Puma was quite open to creative input which is great for us as it means we can capture them doing what they do best in our own style. We worked with Ross Klugston, who provided the footage of Roachi in New York City. The shoe was a limited edition release available only through select Hype DC stores.
